With over 30 years of experience to call upon Dyne Technology offers a wide range of "State of the Art" corona treaters developed specifically for the treatment of foam, board, thick materials e.g. expanded PE, PP, PS and PVC foam boards (EPE/EPP/EPS/EPVC), as well as a large variety of expanded and corrugated plastic boards.

Dyne Technology offers a unique solution that solves the traditional problems associated with surface treating these thick materials.

The low surface energy of many polymer-based substrates often leads to poor adhesion of inks, glues and coatings. To obtain optimum adhesion, it is often necessary to increase the surface energy of the substrate to just above that of the material to be applied. Corona Treatment Equipment, Plasma Treatment Equipment and Flame Treatment Equipment all give good treatment levels and result in good wetting of the material over the surface of the substrate and so improves surface energy.

CORONA TREATMENT EQUIPMENT
Dyne Technology supplies Corona Treating equipment solutions to help our customers improve the surface energy of their plastic & rubber components to ensure good bonding of printing inks, paints, adhesives etc. Corona Treating Equipment (including corona pens) is widely used throughout a diverse range of industries and onto an ever increasing range of substrates. Our growing list of customers using corona treatment includes many in the following industries: medical, electronics, automotive component, cable, ophthalmic, pipe, printing, packaging, domestic appliance, cosmetics packaging, food and beverage packaging, and many more. Through our many years of experience and continuous product development we have become one of the leading suppliers of Corona Treatment equipment.

Corona treating systems can be easily integrated into existing production lines or installed as stand alone corona treatment machines.

We offer 5 corona treatment solutions:
1. Rotating Electrode; This universal corona treatment system operates with special rotating corona electrode elements resulting in complete and uniform corona treatment of the parts. It offers a cost-effective method for optimising the adhesion properties of printing inks and coatings onto 3D parts made from low surface energy polymers such as polypropylene and polyethylene.

2. Fixed Electrode; This versatile system operates using a wide range of electrode systems ranging from simple "wire" electrodes, high performance "ball" electrodes or highly durable ceramic electrode elements resulting in complete and uniform corona treatment. Fixed electrode corona treatment systems can incorporate air jets to support the feed of parts through the corona treating station.

3. Spot Treater; This corona treatment unit creates a high voltage, low frequency corona discharge to treat the surface of 3-dimensional moulded or extruded plastic parts, profiles, webs, containers, etc. An airflow presses the corona discharge towards the substrate to be treated and a counter electrode is not necessary.

4. Narrow Web Treater; This system is designed for the corona treating of conductive and non-conductive narrow webs, labels etc. This type of corona treating system can be supplied to treat either one or both sides of the web and will accommodate widths from 100-500mm, running at production speeds of up to 150m/min.

5. Wide Web Treater; This corona treatment system is designed for the flexible packaging and printing industries and offers increased surface energy on webs manufactured from a variety of materials including; paper, plastic, metalised film and foil. The compact design of the corona discharge unit enables the equipment to be easily installed into new or existing extrusion, printing, coating and laminating lines.
